Marching into new beginnings :)

It is March 1st! This semester is thankfully flying by. This is the week I will take my third test of my last semester of nursing school, and then I fly to Texas on Wednesday to marry the love of my life on Saturday, March 7th. I am SO LUCKY! I could not have asked for a more perfect person to share my life with. I wish this was the trip that was making Texas my permanent home, but I only have 2 more months before that becomes a reality. :) I really can't wait! It feels so weird, but so very exciting, to say that next week I will be a wife to the world's best husband! My shower will be at Edisto the following weekend (March 14th). We are doing things a little backwards but I'm super excited to see everyone! I can't believe everything is happening so fast!! It feels like just yesterday Preston was serenading me at the 80's/90's bar and wiping my lion hairs away from my face. What a wonderful year and a half it's been! I just finished putting together our wedding playlist. I couldn't choose just a handful of songs so this playlist is almost 4 hours long. I really love music :)

Dinner about a month before our one year anniversary :)

This is also the month I begin my precepting journey at school.  Once I return from spring break I will meet with my preceptor and establish a schedule.  I know that she is an instructor at one of the local community colleges - which tells me that my hours will most likely entail weekends. It's fine, though. I just hope I have some time during the week to work my normal job before I have to call it quits!

A few weeks ago, I applied for my first "big girl job" in Pediatrics at the McLane Children's Hospital in Temple, Texas.  I sure do hope I am chosen for one of the jobs I applied for.  I was only able to apply for 3 positions. This is the only hospital I applied to, which probably isn't the best idea for a new graduate nurse butttt there aren't many other pediatric jobs available. Scott & White owns basically all of Texas anyway. Anyway, if you're reading this please pray that I get my dream job!
